"What a beautiful, peaceful, homely stay. The palace is lovely. Gardens bursting with trees. The view of the river, the kayaking in it - all sublime. Wish I had stayed longer. The caretaker Ranjan was very attentive, personable and accommodating. Arranged everything (trip to Bhitarkanika) without fuss. Food was EXCELLENT. Home made, fresh, healthy."

"Our host Braj Keshari Singh Deo & his family were great hosts. The location of this 400 year old palace is amazing with a river flowing next to it which meets the sea downstream. We went kayaking across the river to an island with a picnic basket at sunset. Visit to the crocodile sanctuary in bhitarkanika national park was amazing alongwith with boat ride & crocodile hatchery. Bonfire at night on beach was great"

"Amazingly warm hosts at this palace homestay. Entire royal family spent a lot of time with us. The food served had an authentic local touch with several first time dishes for us. The highlight was the sundowner on the private island where we kayaked in the knee deep water, thankfully without crocodiles, which were on the other side where the water was brackish. The Bhitarkanika revere visit was fruitful with several Crocs and bird sightings"

"Tuck in the shores of a calm river, this place gives you the taste of staying at a royal abode. We were upgraded to the larger room and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food needs special mention, the cook dished out some delicious local delicacies. She made sure no dish was repeated. We had a good relaxing stay. They also helped in booking us on a boat ride through the Bhitakarnika mangrove forest."
